Hero This Week: Heidi Smith

Hero this week: Heidi Smith
Junior, Pledge Class 2009

I would like to nominate Heidi Smith for hero of the week.  Heidi is an outstanding example of what an ADPi girl should be and stands for.  I can honestly say I have never met a stronger, more driven, self-confident women as herself. I admire Heidi for everything she stands for and how she shines each and every day. She is such a great role model and I look up to her more than she will ever realize.  I joined Alpha Delta Pi in search for a truly meaningful sisterhood, to create bonds and memories that would last a lifetime.  After meeting Heidi, I found exactly what I was looking for. She is my rock. I know she will always be there through both the good and the bad helping me to become a better person. I am beyond honored and blessed to of grown so close to  such an amazing sister. You truly are beautiful inside and out.

Hero This Week: Lilly Davis

Hero this week: Lilly Davis
Sophomore, pledge class 2010

I would love to nominate Lilly Davis for our Hero of the Week. Lilly is the epitome of a woman living out her faith and sisterhood. Whether she is making a joke, speaking tender words of encouragement or giving reassuring hugs, she always puts me at ease. Her humble dedication to her sisters and her duties is steadfast and often unnoticed, but I strive to be as selfless as her. Her nurturing nature and positivity make her a sister to be admired. Lilly lives a life of love, kindness, and compassion and we are incredibly lucky to have her as a member of this chapter. I love and respect her more than she will ever know and couldn't ask for a better housemate, sister, or friend.

Hero This Week: Jenna Berthelot

Hero this week: Jenna Berthelot
Sophomore, Pledge Class 2010

I would like to nominate Jenna Berthelot for Hero of the week. Her massive amounts of love, guidance, and selflessness are traits that I admire and try to pass on daily. She is my shoulder to cry on, my audience for stories, my accountability partner, my ride home on most weekends, and my best friend. I admire her passion to constantly better herself, even though she's great exactly as she is! Any sister that has not had the privilege of spending an afternoon alone with Jenna is missing out. She is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for and has blessed my life in countless ways. I look forward to our quest to find something more in life; To enrich our lives with God's love and constantly strive to be the best versions of ourselves. Hero This Week: Rachel Huffman & Jenna Rousey

"I can barely even begin to tell you how much you touch my soul, raise my hopes, and inspire my smiles. Maybe the best way to convey it is to lovingly try and say that you've always been and you will always be just like a sister to me."

When I sat down to write about you two, these words from Emilia Larson resonated with me. I have always heard that you can look up to those who are younger than you but I had never experienced that until now. Even though we have only know each other for a few months you all have become some of my best friends and have a special place in my heart. I have been so excited to be a big sister and I am blessed and honored beyond belief to call you both my precious diamond sisters. Jenna, thank you for giving into my obsession with bargain shopping, being spontaneous with me, and for always bringing me soup and a laugh when I am sick. Rachel, Thank you for understanding my sarcasm and sense of humor, being silly and making Facebook videos together and for giving me a shoulder to cry on when I need it most. Remember you can be Forest, I will be Bubba and we can sit back to back so neither of us has to sleep in the mud. Thank you both for being there for me, lifting me up and and for encouraging me when all I wanted to do was break down. You both have touched my life and I can only hope I can make an impact on yours.

I love you lil Rousey and lil Huffbaby and don't you ever forget it!

Hero This Week: Mallory Goodin!

Hero This Week:Mallory Goodin
Senior pledge class 2008

This past summer was one of the hardest I've been through. It was my first summer not living at home and I can't even begin to explain how hard it was to say goodbye to my bestfriend, not knowing if he will come home safely or not. I really don't know what I would have done without Mallory there with me through it all. She was there when I needed her the most and she always knew how to motivate me out of my bed and keep me from moping around all day. She has become one of my best friends and I can't thank her enough for what she's done for me. She was my should to cry on and she always knew how to keep me going day after day. I don't know what I would have done without her. I love you Mallory.

I would like to nominate Jayde Johnson as “Hero of the Week.”She is not only “REALLY pretty,” but she is a great role model. I know I can always count on her for anything. We have only known each other a little over a year but she has taught me so much about friendship and life. She is a determined, hardworking, 4.0 student in the dental hygiene program. She is resolved to be her best, live her life positively and most importantly, be happy. She is one of the most caring people I know. Whenever I have a problem or have had a rough day, I can always count on her to turn it around, see the positive and make me smile. I could not imagine what I would do without her and I am glad I don’t have to. She is not only my diamond sister but one of my best friends.
